MemberKey Book a conversation

For banks and credit unions

A member benefit your compliance team can actually approve.

Your members are going to buy and sell homes this year. MemberKey makes sure that when they do, the conversation starts with you — and that they save real money doing it. No cost to the financial partner, no cost to the member.

The part worth reading first

What you get is timing.

Members who are about to make the largest financial decision of their lives tell you about it at the start, rather than after they have already been captured by someone else’s app. What you do with that timing is entirely your business, on your own channels.

As a financial partner, your institution receives no transaction-based compensation for any of it — no per-lead, per-closing or volume-based payment. That is a design decision, and the reasoning is in the conversation or in the compensation note at the bottom of this page.

What you receive

Everything below is included, and none of it is invoiced.

A member link

One link for your newsletter, website and online banking, live in a day. Members who sign up through it are counted in your monthly report automatically.

Quarterly member workshops

First-time buyer and sell-before-you-buy sessions, run by us in your branch or online. You get the room; we do the work.

A named concierge

One person, one direct line, for you and for your members. Not a queue and not a chatbot.

A monthly service report

Registrations, contact speed, appointments, closings, member savings and satisfaction. Aggregate by default.

Ready-made marketing

Email copy, newsletter articles, lobby posters, statement stuffer text and social content — all carrying the required disclosures already.

A due diligence packet

Licensing, insurance certificates, security controls, complaint handling, business continuity and subcontractors. Your vendor management team will ask; it is already written.

The workshops are the part members remember.

We bring the deck, the handouts and the person at the front of the room. You bring the room and the invitation. Every session carries the same disclosures the rest of the program does, and nobody is sold a mortgage in it.

What your members get

A published formula, not a discretionary gift.

California prices mean the percentage matters. A member selling at the state median sees a materially larger reward than the national cash-back programs advertise — and unlike those programs, they can check the arithmetic against their own closing statement.

There is also a no-transaction tier. Members who are simply curious get a consultation, a valuation and a written plan, free. Most of your membership will use that one, and it is the reason the benefit is worth promoting to everybody rather than to the few percent who move this year.

Minimum $1,000, maximum $7,500 per transaction. A member selling at $900,000 and buying at $850,000 receives about $9,813.

Getting started

Roughly six weeks, most of it on our side.

The longest step is your own vendor review, which is why the due diligence packet exists before the first meeting rather than after it.

  1. A conversation

Twenty minutes. What your members are asking for, what your compliance team will need, and whether this is a fit at all.

  2. Compliance review

You get the program agreement, the network broker agreement, the member terms and the due diligence packet. Your team reads them on your timeline.

  3. Your member link and materials

We set up your member link and the ready-made marketing. You approve every piece before anything goes out.

  4. A short team briefing

Thirty minutes for branch and member-facing staff: what the benefit is, who it’s for, and how to mention it without making a recommendation.

  5. Soft launch

One channel, a few weeks, real members. We fix what we learn before it goes wide.

  6. Full launch and monthly reporting

Your report arrives every month with a quarterly review. If the numbers don’t justify the effort, you’ll see that in the report rather than hearing it from us.

Worth twenty minutes?

If it isn’t a fit, that’s a useful answer too — and you’ll have the compliance framing to evaluate anyone else who pitches you this category.

Why financial partners are not paid for referrals

A lot of programs in this category pay their financial partners per lead, per closing, or through a donation that scales with transaction volume. We do not, and we will not. A payment sized by transaction volume, flowing to the party supplying the referrals, is the arrangement RESPA Section 8 is written about — and it puts a compliance officer in an impossible position.

We also do not report loan conversion back to you, and our network agents are contractually barred from recommending a lender. That is not us being unhelpful. It is the reason this arrangement survives review.

Each financial partner should still complete its own legal and compliance review. Nothing here is legal advice.
